OUR MISSION
David Dudley, Karen Paul, Melissa Stever and Meredith Blain have joined together to be elected to the Swansboro Country Property Owners Association Board of Directors. Our mission is to be the change that unites our community. We will treat all members with respect, operate with integrity following the bylaws and CA law, and be transparent about all financial and operational transactions.

FITTING THE PIECES TOGETHER

We pledge to diligently work on behalf of SCPOA if elected to serve on the Board of Directors. Between our combined service as volunteers for SCPOA, MFPD, MVFA, the Swansboro Pilots’ Association, District Auxiliary, and the Mosquito Fire Safe Council, we have a clear understanding of the needs of Swansboro’s property owners as well as the community. Our experience includes serving on several boards, organizing and volunteering for events, and fundraising to support the goals of these organizations.
We also have extensive professional experience as well. This includes business, finance, property management, and the knowledge required to complete successful projects. We are committed to protecting and preserving the peaceful way of life for each property owner, demanding fiscal responsibility and addressing the mandated maintenance of our common areas. These are the tenets to which we are committed as board members. We will:
- Uphold the bylaws and policies of the Property Owners Association by taking a fair, ethical, and objective approach in representing the interests of each individual property owner.
- Ensure all additions/changes – to any individual’s property and our common areas – will preserve and/or enhance the value of our properties as a whole.
- Never use the Association’s resources nor authority entrusted to the Board to advance a board member’s personal goal(s), project(s), or weaponize the Board against a property owner.
- Encourage collaborative and diverse participation that includes an involved membership.
- Utilize our experience as board members to make and implement responsible decisions, and to be good stewards regarding the use of funds and assets belonging to the Association.
- Treat every issue brought before the board seriously.
- Communicate with property owners in a timely manner through appropriate mediums and facilitate opportunities for activities and committees to promote a close-knit, neighborly community that works together for the good of all.
- Ensure that resolutions are well researched and rationally based, and all responses are clearly communicated; not just generally to the property owners association, but also directly to the affected parties.
- Protect and enhance the value of the property owners association by maintaining common areas.
